Why would you say that you're uncomfortable with folks who ID as black feminist on here?
I think there’s been a lot of fail lately. Some marginalizing, some borderline bullying, and a lot of hypocrisy.
But moreso than that I think a number of the Black feminists I’ve encountered on tumblr have been far too willing to generalize about Black women’s lives/experiences. So when Black women talk of other experiences/other ideas that counter that knowledge ( (i.e. my dislike of men, although I’ve never experienced any backlash on that, I’m just using it as an example of a different perspective) and the normalized position that comes with that people lash out in some of the similarly hurtful and otherized ways that they would have attacked White people for making.
