what?! what is going on??
Miranda told Derek he needed to do his baby’s hair (echoing like ever Black woman’s mind at least once upon seeing baby Zahara: the early years). So then she was giving him a tutorial, which involved identifying and rectifying that kitchen.

dreams-from-my-father asked: I am not saying that he can't change, but rather that I don't think he has changed AT ALL. I even doubt he is the one behind that "apology".Apologies mean nothing when you make money out of degrading black women. Like you said he has an important fanbase and only concrete actions such less misogyny in his songs would be "baby steps" to me.

I must say I’ve always felt awkward being a black feminist and admitting that… I don’t really like men (of any race). (Black feminists expend a lot of energy trying to reassure Black men that there’s a space for them in this movement. There is, but I mean goddamn!)
So it’s pretty fucking deep when I start defending Black women who are defending Black men.

Prison to keep execution drug →

This story is amazing, really. Sick and amazing. I’d advise someone to use it as a plot element in a novel, except that the reader would say, “Nah, that’s just not believable.” Here’s the short version:
Nebraska needs execution drugs, but said drugs are no longer manufactured in the U.S.;
Nebraska contacts broker in India, who procures drugs from shady source and imports them...
